Job Requirement
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of
computer systems and networks.
- Provide first-line technical support to
GIZ staff, resolving issues related to computer hardware, software, network
connectivity, and email access.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and
maintenance of computer systems, including operating systems and applications.
- Monitor network performance, identify potential
issues, and escalate critical alerts to the IT team.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems related
to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Update and maintain IT documentation,
including user guides, system diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Contribute to IT projects by performing
tasks such as data entry, testing, and implementation.
- Support the IT team in implementing
software and hardware solutions.
- Participate in the setup and
configuration of IT equipment and software for staff.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and
industry trends through research and training opportunities.
- Help ensure IT security protocols and best
practices are followed
Skills and qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a
degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer systems,
networking, and IT support practices.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows,
Linux, macOS) and common software applications (Microsoft Office, email
clients, etc.).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting
skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English
(knowledge of Somali is a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a
diverse team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a
dynamic work environment.
