Job Title: Finance Assistant

Reports To: Senior Finance Team Member (or specify specific manager if needed)

Job Purpose:

To support the finance and administration team in day-to-day financial operations, data entry, and document management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while building foundational skills in financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Document Management

·        Assist in processing invoices, receipts, and financial data entry into the ERP system.

·        Organize, scan, and file financial documents for easy retrieval.

·        Maintain digital and physical records for financial transactions.

Transaction Verification

·        Review supporting documents for accuracy and completeness before filing.

·        Assist in preliminary checks on expenses and payments to ensure compliance with company policies.

Financial Assistance and Reporting Support

·        Assist in preparing basic reports as directed by senior staff, such as daily cash flow reports and monthly summaries.

·        Aid in reconciling accounts by gathering and organizing necessary documents for review.

Inventory and Fixed Assets Monitoring

·        Support inventory tracking by updating records and tagging new items under supervision.

·        Assist in asset count verification and recording.

General Administrative Support

·        Provide basic administrative assistance such as scheduling meetings, taking notes, and handling correspondence as directed.

·        Assist with other tasks as assigned to help maintain efficient operations.

Skills and qualifications

Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience: 

0-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or administrative support (internship or volunteer experience welcome).

Skills: 

Basic knowledge of Excel and other office software, good organization skills, attention to detail.

Training and Development:

·        Guidance and training will be provided on ERP systems, company policies, and reporting requirements.

·        Opportunities for skill development in financial reporting, accounting software, and professional growth within the finance team.
